Looking for a day away from the office that is fun as well as educational, relaxing as well as inspiring? From indoor activities to climbing our alpine tower, our Teambuilding Retreats offer a range of events tailored to your team’s abilities and goals. Past participants in Louisville and beyond include non-profit and church groups, small businesses, and large corporations ranging in size from 6 to 160 participants.
Our Teambuilding Retreats program is designed to engage participants in discovering solutions to unique challenges. A key concept involves developing awareness of our habitual ways of responding as individuals and groups. With increasing awareness, teams learn to minimize negative patterns and reinforce positive ones.
Depending on your time and interests, a program could include one or more of the following experiential learning tools: indoor and outdoor simulations, facilitated discussion, our low ropes (teams) course, an Alpine climbing tower, and the Conflict Dynamics Profile ®. The CDP-I is a short instrument that identifies workplace behaviors that contribute to constructive conflict resolution and offers practical tips for strengthening conflict management skills. In addition to general teambuilding, the Forest is partnered with Jeff Peden of Great Ideas LLC to present:
Most groups combine their program with rental of the Horine Conference Center. This elegant 1940s-era manor house boasts seating for up to 35 participants, a multimedia system, kitchen, den with fireplace, and additional rooms for breakaway meetings. Let the Conference Center serve as your team's "home base" during a teambuilding program -- providing an excellent site for a catered lunch, rest breaks, discussions, and shelter from inclement weather. Visit the Facilities page for a photo tour of the Conference Center.
