Jun 2 2015 Louisville SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers to Close Soon

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that due to a steady decrease of activity, it’s Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOCs) in Louisville, Kentucky will close in the coming days. The DLOC at the Okolona Fire Protection District House will close on Thursday, June 4 at close of business. The DLOC at the Beechmont Community Center will close on Thursday, June 11 at close of business.

Three businesses were approved for loans in the amount of $179,820 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation.  The loans will leverage a total investment of $443,320 to assist three companies to renovate properties and prepare them for productive commercial reuse.

May 28 2015 Children's Summer Food Service Program Begins June 8, 2015

Louisville Metro Department of Community Services is once again participating in the Summer Food Service Program for children beginning Monday, June 8, 2015.  There are 15 sites across Louisville that will serve a combination of two of the following meals -- breakfast, lunch and a snack -- to all children (ages 1-18), free of charge.
