Sep 24 2014 2014 Delinquent Child Support Obligors Announced

Jefferson County Attorney Mike O'Connell today announced the ninth annual list of delinquent child support obligors to be published in the Sunday, September 21st Louisville Courier-Journal.

This year's list contains 3,836 names on the insert and website, last known addresses and the amount of child support owed as of August 27, 2014. Individuals listed owe a collective $97.9 million.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit to E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Inc., 4200 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03.  The 30-day public comment period starts September 25, 2014 and ends on October 27, 2014.  A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Mayor Greg Fischer joined Governor Steve Beshear and officials from Total Quality Logistics LLC (TQL) today to celebrate the growth of the national company in Louisville.

TQL, the nation's second largest freight brokerage firm, is expected to create up to 50 new jobs and invest $800,000 into the project.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit to American Synthetic Rubber Company (synthetic rubber production), 4500 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03, for Phase 3 of a project to replace toluene, an organic solvent, using a mixture of cyclohexane and methylcyclohexane for the production of all polybutadiene rubber and styrene butadiene rubber. The 30-day public comment period starts September 20, 2014 and ends October 20, 2014.

V-Soft, a minority, woman-owned business solutions group, plans to create up to 25 new jobs and invest more than $200,000 into the project.

A vacant section of West Main Street downtown that has been transformed into a temporary plaza with art, music, movies and local craft beers will officially open this weekend.

Mayor Greg Fischer will join the ReSurfaced Launch Party at 4 p.m. Friday to celebrate and thank the local arts groups, architects, volunteers and Metro Government workers who transformed 615 W. Main St. into a pop-up plaza and beer garden.

Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Louisville Governor Steve Beshear and Mayor Greg Fischer announced today, as Computershare, Inc. plans to open a facility in Jefferson County.
Computershare, which specializes in financial services and investor communications, is expected to seek up to 250 new jobs for various roles, including management, human resources, recruiting, administrative, call center representatives and operations staff.
