Louisville – Councilman Bill Hollander is inviting the residents of District 9 to a special celebration focusing on the completion of the new sidewalk on Kenilworth Road which will improve pedestrian safety in the area.

“This new sidewalk will enhance the safety of people who walk along Kenilworth Road between Brownsboro Road and the top of the hill,” says Hollander. “It is a much-needed project.”

Jun 18 2015 Boil Water Advisory Issued for Crescent Hill and Surrounding AreasThursday, June 18, 2015Louisville Water Company has issued a Boil Water Advisory for approximately 33,000 customers in the Crescent Hill and surrounding areas.  The advisory comes after a 60-inch water main break on Grinstead Drive.  Please see the expanded map and listing of affected streets for more information.  The Boil Water Advisory is for those customers within the boundary lines drawn on the map.
Jun 18 2015 Funding in place to plan Beargrass Creek Biking/Walking Trail

Design work will begin soon on a project to connect Cherokee Park and Waterfront Park via a continuous off-street pathway along Beargrass Creek thanks to donations from the community. Designing a conceptual plan for a walking and biking path connecting two of Louisville’s most significant recreational assets is fully funded. The plan will also evaluate strategies to improve water quality and wildlife habitat along the creek.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a FEDOOP operating permit to Cardinal Kitchens LLC (manufactures kitchen counter tops, table tops, granite & laminate fixtures), 203 Hiawatha Avenue, Louisville, KY 40209 in accordance with Regulation 2.17. The 30 day public comment period starts June 17, 2015 and ends on July 20, 2015. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
