A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Louisville – In a unanimous vote, The Louisville Metro Council on Thursday night approved a resolution which will begin the process to establish a “Quiet Zone” at various railroad crossing in the Parkland, Park DuValle and Park Hill areas.

Oct 9 2014 Cyclouvia Returns to Bardstown Road

The popular open streets event is coming back to where it all began, on Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue, from Douglass Boulevard to East Broadway, Mayor Greg Fischer announced.

The next Cyclouvia will close Bardstown and Baxter to vehicular traffic on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with police-assisted crossings at Eastern Parkway and Grinstead Drive.

Oct 8 2014 LIHEAP Subsidy Pre-Registration starts in October

The Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership’s LIHEAP Program (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally funded program that provides financial assistance to help low-income residents pay utility bills. The Subsidy component of LIHEAP will begin November 3, 2014.

Pre-registration opportunities for the Subsidy Program will be offered during October for those residents who are on a fixed income, and who are elderly (age 60 or over) or disabled receiving social security, SSI, pension or Black Lung benefits.

Swift is alleged to have violated District Regulation 2.17 (Federally Enforceable District Origin Operating Permits) at its facility located on Story Avenue in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The Steam Plant is alleged to have violated District Regulation 2.16 (Title V Operating Permits) at its facility on Abraham Flexner Way in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
