Sep 1 2015 McNeely Lake Park Road closure: Sept. 2 - Sept. 5, 2015

A section of McNeely Lake Park Road off of Cooper Chapel Road will be closed for a culvert replacement project beginning tomorrow September 2, 2015. Motorists will be able to detour the closure area via the boat ramp parking area. The closure is expected to last for three days.

Hepatitis C Testing Will Now Be Offered

Beginning September 1, the Louisville Metro Syringe Exchange Program will expand its hours. It will add early morning hours on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. and will be open two hours later until 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and two hours earlier on Tuesday and Wednesdays. The Syringe Exchange Program will also now offer hepatitis C testing.

Louisville is about to be home to a provocative new public space designed to help people see like a butterfly. Chicago-based artist Jenny Kendler, who is currently Artist in Residence with Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), has created an interactive butterfly garden/art installation that integrates critical habitat and food for monarch butterflies alongside lighting effects that will illuminate the space in a way that illustrates how butterflies see the world.
