Louisville – Councilman Bill Hollander is encouraging District 9 residents to come out for his monthly “Meet with Bill” set for Wednesday, June 3rd at United Crescent Hill Ministries, 150 State Street.

“I want to make myself available to the people of District 9 to let me know what’s on their mind,” says Hollander. “I will be hosting these informal chats at various times through the district. We are always happy to hear from constituents.”

May 20 2015 Metro Parks Golf Special for May: Memorial Day Weekend Family Golf Special

Metro Parks & Recreation is offering an affordable family golfing package at its nine golf courses during the Memorial Day Weekend.

For only $20, a family of up to four members can play nine holes at any Metro Parks course. The $20 includes greens and cart fees, and families can take advantage of the deal after 4:30 p.m. on three days: Saturday, May 23, Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25.

May 19 2015 Second Disaster Recovery Center Open in Louisville

830 Individuals Have Already Registered

A second disaster recovery center operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is open in Louisville.  FEMA specialists are available at The Beechmont Community Center at 205 W. Wellington Avenue, open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  The other Louisville center is located at 8501 Preston Highway at Okolona Fire Station and has the same hours of operation.
