Mar 17 2020 Mayor calls for temporary closures to walk-in clients in the Neighborhood Place locations and LIHEAP sites
Modified service delivery plan effective March 18

 

Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Mayor Greg Fischer announced a temporary closure and modified service delivery at all seven Neighborhood Place locations.  LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) in-person services have also been suspended at all six locations and a mail-in service has been implemented.

Louisville families with children of all ages are invited to a free resource fair showcasing summer activities for children, youth, and families on Sat., March 14.  Themed “SOAR” which stands for Summer Opportunities and Resource Fair, the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the DuValle Education Center gym, 3610 Bohne Ave.

Jan 31 2020 Neighborhood Place partners celebrate Black History Month and host other events during February

The program that helps prevent low income residents of Jefferson County from being disconnected from utility services will begin on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.

Dec 3 2019 Park DuValle welcomes all to Holiday Festival on Dec. 7

Members of the Park DuValle community are proud to host the Fourth Annual Park DuValle Holiday Festival this Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. The four-hour event takes place 2- 6 p.m. featuring fun and activities for all ages held at numerous sites in the Park DuValle neighborhood.  The event concludes at 5:30 p.m. with a Tree Lighting Ceremony next to the clubhouse at 1804 Russell Lee Dr.

Nov 27 2019 Neighborhood Place partners host a holiday festival, three employment outreaches and more

Nov 19 2019 The Greatest Louisville Smokeout on Nov. 21

Shawnee Christian Healthcare Center in collaboration with Bridges of Hope Neighborhood Place and other community partners are hosting “The Greatest Louisville Smokeout” this Thurs., Nov. 21, 2019. The event is free to the public and runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Parkhill Community Center, 1703 South 13th St.

Louisville Metro Office of Resilience and Community Services (RCS) is offering pre-registration for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Subsidy Component. The pre-registration will begin on Wednesday, October 2, and end on Thursday, October 31.

Sep 23 2019 Free services offered to local homeless population on Oct. 2

Louisville’s homeless population will have an opportunity to access services, information and assistance in a one-stop environment at the 2019 Project Homeless Connect/VA Stand Down, on Wed., Oct. 2. Resources available at the event will include food, clothing, medical evaluations, help with employment, education and benefit services, State ID’s, and many other forms of assistance.

Each month, Neighborhood Place partners provide numerous events and resources to benefit the entire family.  Activities in September include four hiring events conducted by FedEx, Sodexo, the U.S. Census Bureau, and Kentucky Health Care Center; two outreaches by Humana CareSource and Passport to discuss health plan benefits options; and a free educational series for parents and caregivers who have youth with a mental health diagnosis.
