Louisville Metro Council approved a surplus resolution on Thursday, Aug. 22, allowing the sale.

Allegiant Air announces new nonstop service to Sarasota
Allegiant Air today announced new seasonal nonstop service between Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) beginning Monday, November 25, 2019. Nonstop flights to Sarasota will be offered twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The airline will operate the flight using an Airbus A320 with 186-seats.

The Big Table: World’s Largest Potluck returns to Iroquois Park September 15 to celebrate city’s diversity
Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that The Big Table, a welcoming event aimed at bringing people together to share food and conversation, is returning to Iroquois Park on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 5-7 p.m. Last year, more than 1,500 people participated in the event, and organizers this year will be setting up for 2,000 attendees.

Sixteen small businesses receive loans from city
Since January, sixteen businesses have been approved for loans, totaling over $1.25 million, by the Louisville Metro Government’s Department of Economic Development and Office of Resilience and Community Services. The loans will leverage a total investment of more than $1.7 million and will assist the businesses in opening, expanding services, or rehabilitating properties.
