Nine New SpeedAlert Radar Devices are unveiled and ready for Deployment in Louisville Metro
Representatives from the Louisville Metro Council’s Minority Caucus as well as the Louisville Metro Police Department participated in an event to demonstrate a new tool that has been purchased to help deter speeding and promote safety. Earlier this year, the nine Republican Members of the Louisville Metro Council pooled their discretionary funds to purchase nine SpeedAlert web-enabled radar message displays.

Minority Caucus Meeting Announced for Tuesday, June 26, 2018

Coming together to discuss important issues and concerns is how any community can produce working solutions to serious problems. That is why Council Members Madonna Flood (D-24), James Peden (R-23), Vicki Aubrey Welch (D-13), and Barbara Shanklin (D-2) invite everyone to attend the first in a series of bi-monthly forums to discuss issues that affect the region. The first of these focuses on public safety and how to start a neighborhood watch.

Councilmembers Announce 2017 FridayFest Schedule
Louisville, KY – Metro Councilmembers James Peden (District 23), Madonna Flood (District 24) and Vicki Aubrey-Welch (District (13) are sponsoring a free summer concert series at Highview Park for the sixth straight year based on the success of the former Music in the Metro. A different concert will be held every other Friday from June through August and the event is open to the public, family friendly, and free.
