For the last 25 years, it has been a celebration that brings the local community together to share and celebrate the cultural heritages of the people in the Louisville Metro area.      This Saturday, Councilman Dan Johnson encourages the community to come out and experience the Americana Community Center’s 25th Annual World Festival as it continues the tradition of sharing the history of all members of the community.

The Mayor and President Tandy announced the workgroup following the eight-inch rain of April 3rd, when thousands of homes were impacted by rain water and localized flooding near creeks and streams in Jefferson County.  A metro ordinance will not allow homes in the flood plain to be improved when the cost exceeds half of the property value over a 10 year period.
