May 10 2016 “Hotel Transylvania 2” kicks off 2016 Free Summer Movies Season at Iroquois Amphitheater

Dracula’s fear that his grandson may be all-human is part of the fun when 2015’s American 3D computer animated fantasy-comedy film “Hotel Transylvania 2” kicks off another year of Free Summer Movies at Iroquois Amphitheater on Saturday, May 14th.

For a third year, several members of the Louisville Metro Council are sponsoring “Shakespeare in the Parks” in conjunction with Kentucky Shakespeare. This year’s production is the classic tale of star-crossed lovers “Romeo and Juliet.”  The 2016 Tour includes many area and neighborhood parks in Metro Louisville.

Several members of the Louisville Metro Council are sponsoring a Resolution requesting the Metropolitan Sewer District to set aside additional funding in the coming years for an enhanced home buyout program. The plan calls for MSD to increase funding for such programs in future budgets so that they can make progress on a growing list of properties that have seen reoccurring flooding.

Dusty Crophopper and his friends return for more adventure as “Planes: Fire and Rescue” winds up another successful season of Free Summer Movies at Iroquois Amphitheater on Saturday, August 8.
In addition to the free movie, Louisville Fire & Rescue will bring an engine to the park so children can interact with fire fighters. There will also be a fire safety message video before the movie begins.
