Four South Louisville Neighborhoods now have an official welcome sign!   On Monday, Council members Marianne Butler (D-15) and Dan Johnson (D-21) unveiled a new 60”x48” welcome sign for the Beechmont, Iroquois, Oakdale and Wilder Park Neighborhoods.

Several members of the Louisville Metro Council are sponsoring a Resolution requesting the Metropolitan Sewer District to set aside additional funding in the coming years for an enhanced home buyout program. The plan calls for MSD to increase funding for such programs in future budgets so that they can make progress on a growing list of properties that have seen reoccurring flooding.

Dusty Crophopper and his friends return for more adventure as “Planes: Fire and Rescue” winds up another successful season of Free Summer Movies at Iroquois Amphitheater on Saturday, August 8.
In addition to the free movie, Louisville Fire & Rescue will bring an engine to the park so children can interact with fire fighters. There will also be a fire safety message video before the movie begins.
