Metro Council passes Breonna’s Law, “No-Knock” warrants are banned for LMPD
In a unanimous vote, the Louisville Metro Council has banned the use of “No-Knock” warrants after passing Breonna’s Law, an ordinance which also sets guidelines for the execution of all search warrants by Louisville Metro Police officers and requires active body camera whenever a warrant is served.

Public Safety Committee approves “Breonna’s Law” an Ordinance to regulate no-knock warrants and the use of body cameras in all search warrants
In a unanimous vote, the Public Safety Committee of the Louisville Metro Council has approved “Breonna’s Law” to regulate and provide specific guidelines for the use of no-knock warrants by Louisville Metro Police officers.

Metro Council Members File Resolution asking Congress to fund Emergency Rental Assistance in future stimulus package
In an effort to assist renters, at a news conference on Monday, members of the Louisville Metro Council were joined by the Louisville Apartment Association to call on Congress to include Emergency Rental Assistance funding in the upcoming stimulus package.
