Mayor Fischer announces Comprehensive Plan update process
Mayor Greg Fischer today announced plans to update Louisville’s Comprehensive Plan, including a year-long community engagement process.
The Comprehensive Plan will guide the growth of the community for the next 20 years and serve as the basis for public and private investment, as well as land use and transportation policies.

Mayor Fischer today announced the opening of Produce Park, an urban orchard in the Russell neighborhood. The site, which was previously a vacant lot, has been made possible through $30,000 of funding awarded to Mayor Fischer’s Innovation & Delivery Team by the Bloomberg Fund.

Realtor® Association Gives $10,000 to City to Reduce Number of Abandoned and Vacant Properties
The Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS® (GLAR) has been awarded a $10,000 Smart Growth grant from the National Association of Realtors for the purpose of providing seed money to the City of Louisville to rehabilitate two areas of interest for redevelopment. The two areas of interest are being identified by the city and are expected to be announced before the end of this year.

Develop Louisville (the city’s newly formed real estate development arm of Louisville Forward), has a new pricing policy for hundreds of properties that citizens can buy from the city.
