By a unanimous vote, the Louisville Metro Council has approved a resolution calling on the Kentucky General Assembly to separate the County Employees Retirement System (CERS) from the Kentucky Retirement System (KRS) and create a separate board to administer the fund.

On Thursday, August 31st, President David Yates (D-25) will join Congressman John Yarmuth, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, Secretary of Justice John Tilley, and other concerned groups for Kentucky’s International Overdose Awareness Day.

Aug 24 2017 Metro Council approves Resolution asking the Air Pollution Control District to deny American Synthetic Rubber's request to modify its STAR goals

By a unanimous vote, the Louisville Metro Council approved a resolution calling for American Synthetic Rubber Company to comply with the city’s Strategic Toxic Air Reduction (STAR) goals. The Resolution calls for the Air Pollution Control District to deny the company’s second request for modification from the 2004 STAR goals.
