Office of Construction Review to increase non-residential permit fees effective September 1
Louisville Metro Construction Review, a division of the Department of Codes & Regulations, will be increasing its building permit fees effective September 1. All fees, with the exception of residential building permit fees, will increase $0.01 per square foot. Any building permit applications submitted before September 1 will have its fee calculated at the current fee rate. The increased fees are reflected in the chart below.

Three Northern Additions of Colonial Gardens to be Removed
In an effort to stabilize the two-story historic portion of Colonial Gardens, located at Kenwood Drive and New Cut Road, the three northern additions of the building must be removed immediately. Recent inspections by the Office of Construction Review determined the additions to be in a state of structural failure with threat of imminent collapse.

Mayor Fischer Kicks off Cedar Street Development
Mayor Greg Fischer today kicked off the construction of 29 new, market-rate homes in the Cedar Street Development, completing the Russell Urban Renewal initiative, which began in 1990.
