Community Services' RSVP and Foster Grandparent Program Celebrate Older Americans' Month
The month of May is nationally designated as “Older Americans’ Month.” Locally, the Louisville Metro Department of Community Services celebrates seniors who are still active as volunteers through its RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) and Foster Grandparent Program (FGP). Both programs are primarily funded through Senior Corps, a division of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

Fund for the Arts and Louisville Metro Government Announce the Fran Heuttig Public Art Project Series
The Fund for the Arts and Louisville Metro Government Public Art announce their latest partnership: The Fran Heuttig Public Art Project Series, a five-year series of annually commissioned artwork in public space.
Fran Heuttig was an employee of the Fund for the Arts from 1997 until 2007 and is remembered for her vivacious spirit, dedication to public art and increasing access to the arts for all members of the Greater Louisville community. She passed away in 2013.
