Youth volunteers sought to create Valentines for Meals on Wheels recipients
City's Senior Nutrition Program organizes fifth annual Love Letters campaign
Louisville Metro Senior Nutrition Program invites young people to create handmade Valentine's Day cards as part of the annual Love Letters campaign. The cards will then be included in meal deliveries to Meals on Wheels recipients and shared with other senior programs to help lift the spirits of older adults in our community.

City Honors More than 550 Retired and Senior Volunteers for Service
The work of more than 550 retired and senior volunteers in the Louisville area will be honored at a special event on Thurs., Nov. 2. The Louisville Metro Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) annual recognition event will take place at Churchill Downs’ Triple Crown Room (5th Floor), 700 Central Ave. from 12:15 – 2 p.m.

City's Foster Grandparent Program Celebrates 44 Years of Service in Louisville
The work of more than 130 foster grandparents who help mentor children will be honored at a special luncheon on Wednesday, May 31. The “Spring Into Celebration” event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Muhammad Ali Center, 144 N. 6th St.

Free Services Offered to Local Homeless Population on Oct. 5
Louisville’s homeless population will have an opportunity to access services, information and assistance in a one-stop environment at the 2016 Project Homeless Connect/VA Stand Down, on Wednesday, October 5. Resources available at the event will include food, clothing, medical evaluations, help with employment, education and benefit services and many other forms of assistance.
