KIPDA Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living is joining forces with Louisville Metro Office for Aging & Disabled Citizens (OADC) to collect and distribute electric fans to those needy individuals in our community. |

Mayor Fischer announces 13 “microenterprise” loans to local small businesses Mayor Greg Fischer today announced the 13 local businesses that will receive loans from a Louisville Metro Government program for local “microenterprises.” The recipients, all low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs, include a video production group, an event rental space, a fashion business, a tax service, two childcare facilities, and four catering businesses. Microenterprises are businesses that employee five or fewer individuals, including the owner. |

Community Services' RSVP and Foster Grandparent Program Celebrate Older Americans' Month The month of May is nationally designated as “Older Americans’ Month.” Locally, the Louisville Metro Department of Community Services celebrates seniors who are still active as volunteers through its RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) and Foster Grandparent Program (FGP). Both programs are primarily funded through Senior Corps, a division of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). |

National Stalking Resource Center Offers Training in Louisville on April 19 The Stalking Resource Center (SRC), a program of the National Center for Victims of Crime, is coming to Louisville on April 19. Five experts on stalking and Kentucky stalking laws will present a full day of training for professionals who work with victims of stalking.
