Free Tax Preparation for Residents Filing Past Due Returns
Although the 2016 tax filing season has ended, there is still free help available in preparing past due and amended tax returns. Now through October, the Louisville Asset Building Coalition’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, or VITA, will provide federal and state income tax assistance to income eligible residents who need help filing prior returns.

City Website Ranked Among Best in the Nation
Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that the Center for Digital Government has again named Louisvilleky.gov, the official city website for Louisville Metro Government, as one of the top city websites in America.
The Best of the Web Awards recognize cities that constantly innovate, focus on services and work to improve the user experience. This is the eighth year the site has placed in the top 5 nationally.

New vendor portal allows Metro to “buy local” more often
Citing an effort to increase its ability to help small businesses and “buy local” more often, Mayor Fischer announced today that Louisville Metro Government has added a new vendor portal on the Division of Purchasing’s page of the city website.
