Mar 30 2016 Proposed NOx RACT Plan Amendment 3 with Texas Gas Transmission, LLC.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board opened a public comment period on March 19, 2016, on an amended Board Order and site-specific plan for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) reasonably available control technology (RACT) for Texas Gas Transmission, LLC, 10327 Gaslight Way, Louisville, KY 40299. If approved by the Board, this amended NOx RACT plan will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for revision of the Kentucky State Implementation Plan.

Mar 14 2016 Proposed FEDOOP Operating Permit 111-01-F (R7) for Swift Pork Company

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to revise a FEDOOP operating permit for Swift Pork Company (Rendering and meat packing plant), 1200 Story Avenue, in accordance with Regulation 2.17. The 30 day public comment period starts March 15, 2016 and ends on April 15, 2016.  A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing on an Agreed Board Order with Clariant Corporation. Clariant is alleged to have violated District Regulation 2.16 (Title V Operating Permits) at the facility located on 12th Street in Jefferson County Kentucky.

Feb 23 2016 Proposed Title V Construction Permit C-0148-1053-15-V (R1) for Louisville Medical Center, Inc., Steam & Chilled Water Plant

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to revise a construction permit for Louisville Medical Center, Inc., Steam & Chilled Water Plant (Steam production and distribution plant), 235 Abraham Flexner Way, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. The purpose is to extend the compliance date for the Boiler MACT for HCl. The 30 day public comment period starts February 25, 2016 and ends on March 28, 2016. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit for Kosmos Cement Company (Portland Cement Production), 15301 Dixie Highway, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. The purpose is replacement of existing equipment for the rail load spout. The 30 day public comment period starts February 13, 2016 and ends on March 14, 2016. The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing on January 20, 2016, on proposed Agreed Board Orders with Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Brookside Properties Inc. LG&E is alleged to have violated District Regulation 2.16 (Title V Operating Permits) at the facility located at 14660 Dixie Hwy in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Brookside Properties Inc. is alleged to have violated District Regulations 2.03: Authorization to Construct or Operate; Demolition/Renovation Notices and Permit Requirements and 5.04: Adoption of Federal Emission Standard for Asbestos at the facility located at 1021 Everett Avenue in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
