The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a Title V Construction Permit for LG&E Cane Run Generating Station (Electricity Generating Facility), 5252 Cane Run Road, for four (4) emergency generators, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. The 30-day public comment period starts September 18, 2016, and ends on October 19, 2016.  A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District opened a public comment period August 12, 2016, on a proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) to the Site-Specific Plan for Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) for Texas Gas Transmission, LLC.


The public hearing related to this Determination, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., September 21, 2016, was not requested prior to the deadline of 5:00 p.m., September 12, 2016. Because a request for a public hearing not was received by the deadline, the hearing has been cancelled.

Aug 19 2016 Public Comment Period and Hearing for Regulations 1.02, 1.15, 2.05 and 3.01

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board opens a public comment period August 19, 2016, on Regulation 1.02, Version 14, Definitions; Regulation 1.15, Version 17, Version of Federal Regulations Adopted and Incorporated by Reference; Regulation 2.05, Version 11, Prevention of Significant Deterioration of Air Quality; and Regulation 3.01, Version 6, Ambient Air Quality Standards that were proposed on August 17, 2016.  If adopted by the Board, these regulations will be submitted to U.S. EPA for inclusion in the Kentucky State Implementation Plan.

Jul 12 2016 Notice of Hearing Cancellation for proposed SIP revision to the PM 2.5 §172(c)(1) RACM for Jefferson and Bullitt County Areas

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District opened a public comment period June 8, 2016, on a proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision to the Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5) §172(c)(1) Reasonably Available Control Measures (RACM) Determination for the Louisville/Jefferson & Bullitt County Areas. This revision, when approved by the U.S. EPA, will determine that RACM have been achieved in the Louisville/Jefferson & Bullitt County Areas. 

Jul 12 2016 Proposed Agreed Board Order 16-05 with University of Louisville

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing on an Agreed Board Order with the University of Louisville. The University is alleged to have violated District Regulation 5.04 (Adoption of Federal Emission Standard for Asbestos) at the facility located at 215 Eastern Pkwy in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Jul 8 2016 Proposed Title V Operating Permit O-1912-16-V and proposed Title V Construction Permit 82-09-C (R1) for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company
