Vacant lot and structure Request for Proposals opens

The Vacant & Public Property Administration has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for four properties with vacant structures and one vacant lot, with the goal of returning these currently underutilized properties back to productive use.

The RFP for properties with vacant structures includes:

  • 3301 Greenwood Avenue (District 1)
  • 3932 Elliott Avenue (District 5)
  • 134 N 43rd Street (District 5)
  • 2928 Virginia Avenue (District 1)

All proposals for these properties with vacant structures are due by January 24 at 5 p.m. Open houses for these properties will be at various times between January 11 through January 19.

The RFP for vacant lots includes:

  • 1133 S 2nd Street (District 6).

All proposals for this lot are due by March 6 at 5 p.m. Interested applicants are encouraged to view the lot at their convenience.

Louisville Metro, through the Landbank Authority, owns approximately 500 vacant lots and structures throughout the city. The Landbank Authority accepts donations of real estate that are suitable for rehabilitation or redevelopment. The property must be owned free and clear of any unpaid mortgages or liens, with the exception of any delinquent property taxes or liens imposed by the Department of Codes & Regulations.
