Two Small Businesses Receive Approval of METCO Loans
Two businesses were approved in the amount of $73,000 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. These loans will leverage a total investment of $95,000 to assist two companies to renovate properties and prepare them for productive commercial reuse.
- $30,000 façade loan to Portland Avenue Firehouse, LLC for its property located at 2425 Portland Avenue, a former firehouse that the owners purchased from the city. The loan will allow owners, Gregg Rochman, Gill Holland, Jonathan Bevan, Moseley Putney and Matthew Gilles, to improve the storefront and tuck-pointing and provide signage. This large vacant building is part of the Portland revitalization and has signed tenants ready to occupy.
- $43,000 façade loan to Angel Tree Mortgage, LLC, for its property located at 4022 Bardstown Road in Buechel. The loan will allow owner Robert Taylor to replace old siding, install new windows, repaint and improve landscaping.
