Trans Day of Visibility
Trans Day of Visibility is recognized each year on March 31st. It is dedicated to the recognition of all trans people, transgender and non-binary, to honor their accomplishments and contributions to society, to understand the courage it takes to be one's true self, and to respect gender diversity. Trans Day of Visibility is also for allies, for education, and for support of those who don't yet feel safe to live openly trans.
The Human Relations Commission recognizes that trans people are at an increased risk of discrimination and violence, and we stand with you. We also stand with our community partners here in Louisville and across the Commonwealth in protecting the human rights of all LGBTQ+ people.
If you have experienced illegal discrimination due to your gender identity and/or sexual orientation within Louisville Metro/Jefferson County, or if you have questions about this kind of discrimination, please call us at 502-574-3631. The Human Relations Commission has both the authority and responsibility to enforce anti-discrimination law. Learn more at our website.
Below you will find many organizations, many of them local, for support, networking, healthcare, families, friendships, and more. These links are for everyone.
