Tired of the litter? Time for a Spring cleanup in District 9

April 08, 2022

Community cleanup event scheduled for Saturday, April 9

Louisville – Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9) is inviting residents to join him for the D9 Spring Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 9, starting at 9:00 a.m. along Frankfort Avenue.

If you’re tired of seeing litter, then let's do something about it. This is a great way to Give A Day, so please invite your friends and neighbors to join you. The plan is to clean up Frankfort Avenue, including work on the tree wells and flower beds, before the Easter Parade on April 16.

Volunteers should meet in the public parking lot at Frankfort and Keats Avenues at 9:00 a.m. for coffee, donated by Heine Brothers’ Coffee, and instructions. The councilman will start the cleanup event on Frankfort Avenue, but volunteers are welcome to branch off and clean up wherever they’d like. The District 9 office will supply trash bags, gloves and trash grabbers.

For more information, please contact the councilman’s office at 574-1109 or email [email protected].
