Louisville - President David James (D-6) and his wife Michelle James hosted their 12th annual Parkhill Christmas Celebration at the Parkhill Community Center tonight, Thursday December 8.

“This is a great opportunity to join in with the community to celebrate the holiday season,” says President James, “Every year I enjoy this Parkway Place community tradition, and I’m excited for the event to safely return indoors for fun and fellowship.”

The Parkhill Christmas Celebration took place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Parkhill Community Center, located at 1703 South 13th Street.

Parents living in the Parkway Place housing development with children twelve years old and younger were invited to the celebration. The evening included dinner, community vendors, toy give-away, bike give-away, and special appearance by Santa to hear holiday wishes.

Sponsors for this event included Kosair Charities, Coca-Cola Consolidated, The Galt House, Play A Role Fund, NTC, Dr. Hal Rosenbaum and family, Dr. John Eifler and family, the Triplett family, and Ron and Ruth Greenberg.

“I am so grateful that with the help of our community partners we are able to give families an opportunity for some holiday cheer,” says President James.
