November’s District 12 Dialogue to highlight new Southwest Regional Library and update progress on the Dixie Do Over
Louisville – It has become one of the most popular spots on Dixie Highway and that is why Councilman Rick Blackwell will host November’s District 12 Dialogue in the new Community Room of the recently opened Southwest Regional Library on Tuesday, November 18th.
“This new library has been busy since its opening in October so I want everyone who has not had the chance to see this great new facility to come out and learn more about it,” says Blackwell.
The Councilman has invited Rebecca Maddox of the Louisville Free Public Library to speak on the new library and the various programs now being offered to the community.
The District 12 Dialogue will also be a chance to find out what’s next in revamping Dixie Highway.
“We also want to give everyone the latest information on the progress of the Dixie Do Over. This multi-million dollar project not only gives Dixie Highway a new look but the goal is a safer road for cars and pedestrians,” says Blackwell.
Also invited to the meeting is Mohammad Mouri with the Dixie Highway Improvement Project.
The November District 12 Dialogue will begin at 7:00pm. The Southwest Regional Library is located at 9725 Dixie Highway.
Councilman Blackwell has also invited representatives of LMPD, IPL and MSD, and Congressman John Yarmuth's office to be on hand as well.
