Newest episode of Mayor’s podcast focuses on west Louisville developments
The seventh episode of the Mayor Greg Fischer podcast was released today and focuses on the $800 million in capital investments in west Louisville neighborhoods since 2014.
“We’re starting to see unprecedented investment coming into west Louisville, and we want to make sure that this works out well for everybody,” Mayor Fischer said in the episode.
The Mayor also discusses projects such as the Passport Health headquarters and Republic Bank Foundation YMCA at 18th and Broadway, why entrepreneurs should consider investing in west Louisville, and his family’s connection to west Louisville.
The episode also features an interview with Jeana Dunlap, the director of Redevelopment Strategies in Louisville Forward, the city’s economic development arm. Her work focuses on revitalization efforts in west Louisville, particularly in Russell.
Hosted by Mayor’s Office staff member Graham Shelby, the Mayor Greg Fischer Podcast launched in August as a way for the Mayor to engage in in-depth, longer discussions about key development and challenges in the city. New episodes are released about every other week.
