Neighborhood Place Partners Offer Workshops to Save Money, Conserve Energy
Neighborhood Place locations in Louisville will offer free workshops in April providing energy and money-saving tips, two support groups for grandparents raising grandchildren and two educational baby showers. April 1, April 8 and April 15, Financial Education Series at the NorthWest Neighborhood Place, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

This financial education series is geared to individuals who are ready to change their financial habits and become more fiscally responsible. Topics include Banking 101, Saving and Developing a Spending Plan, Building and Maintaining Good Credit, Protecting Against Identity Theft and much more. Sponsored by NorthWest Neighborhood Place and Fifth Third Bank.
April 7 and 21, Legal Aid Office Hours at South Central Neighborhood Place, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Located at 4255 Hazelwood Ave. Call 485-7130 for more information. A legal aid staff member will be on hand to answer questions, talk about cases that Legal Aid handles and provide referrals.
Each Tuesday, Meditation at Ujima Neighborhood Place at 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Join Emma for NAAM Therapies a joyful meditative experience using sound and breathing to uplift and elevate the body at its deepest cellular level. April 8and April 22, WeCare Energy Efficiency Overview at two Neighborhood Place locations
Call 1-800-356-5467 for more information. A representative from the WeCare Program at LG&E will be on hand to talk with interested persons about energy efficiency and energy usage and provide valuable information on ways to save money on utility bills. WeCare staff can also help determine if households are eligible for a variety of free services including air duct sealing and insulation, attic and wall insulation, programmable thermostats and much more.

Located at 3410 Lees Ln. Call 485- 6810 for more information. Kentucky Cooperative Extension Office staff will share nutrition tips, provide recipe cards using food that can be purchased with SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and respond to general questions.
April 16, Southwest Providers Meeting at Southwest Library, 3 - 4:30 p.m.

Service providers in Louisville’s Southwest Area are invited to come together, share ideas and successes and seek collaboration opportunities. The meeting is open to the public. Join an engaging conversation at this monthly Grandparents as Parents support group, facilitated by Helen Denies of Spalding University and receive essential community information and resources. Seven Counties and KIDSNow will be hosting this educational baby shower to share information on how to care for yourself and your baby while being pregnant. Participants will receive a colorful diaper tote bag filled with baby items such as a blanket, bottle, wash cloth and a gas/gift card. Fathers welcome but must be registered.
April 16, CHAMPS Data Daze at 3400 Lees Lane, 3 – 7 p.m.
