National Forum on Youth and Violence Prevention

Mayor Greg Fischer and Louisville Cities United Collaborative joined members from Zones of Hope ­--- a group made up of 60 community organizations working in the Newburg, Russell, Parkland and California Communities to reduce the number of homicides --- to:

  1. Discuss Zones of Hope scope of work to reduce violence and homicide among youth in the community
  2. Announce Louisville as one of five new cities joining the National Forum on Youth and Violence Prevention in conjunction with a $20,000 grant
  3. Celebrate My Brother’s Keepers Challenge Local Action Summit Day in Louisville by calling to action volunteers for  Right Turn, JCPS Everyone Reads and Big Brothers Big Sisters
