More Information:
Louisville Metro Animal Services (LMAS) wants to make sure you and your pets are protected!
LMAS? staff veterinarian will administer rabies vaccines and implant microchips at affordable prices!
LMAS and their ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Partners, Kentucky Humane Society, Alley Cat Advocates and several other animal welfare organizations such as Slugger City Bully Buddies will also be on site to answer questions and provide information on volunteering, adopting, spay/ neuter services, behavior training, food assistance and so much more. The ASPCA will sponsor free giveaways including Identification Tags, Leashes and Collars while supplies last.
Licensing a pet is extremely important and it?s the law. If a pet is ever lost, licensing can help reunite the pet with the owner. License numbers provide LMAS staff with the pet owner?s contact information. If a Metro Animal Control Officer finds a roaming dog or cat with a license, the officer will give the pet a ride home.

License: $9.00/ $50.00 (unaltered pets)
Rabies: $8 (1 year)
Microchips: $25
*Senior citizens receive a discount on license fees
*Already have your rabies shot? Rabies and license tags are a winning combination. Licensing is a very simple process. Citizens can purchase a license tag online at or at either LMAS location (please bring a copy of your pet?s rabies certificate).
