Mayor Fischer welcomes JCPS Superintendent Marty Pollio to his podcast

The latest episode of the Mayor Greg Fischer Podcast features a one-on-one conversation between the Mayor and Dr. Marty Pollio, Superintendent of Jefferson County Public Schools.

The Mayor and Dr. Pollio discuss the Superintendent’s start in education, his years as a high school principal, and the many collaborations between JCPS and the city such as Cradle to Career/Louisville Promise, including the prospect of a future college scholarship program for all JCPS graduate.

“JCPS is a vital partner in our ongoing mission to make Louisville a city where all citizens have the opportunity to reach their full human potential,” Mayor Fischer said. “I’d like to thank Dr. Pollio for sitting down to talk about the essential partnership between JCPS and Metro government. We’re looking forward to working even closer with our city’s tremendous educators under his watch with JCPS.”

Mayor Fischer launched his podcast in August 2017, with previous episodes focusing on topics including Butchertown soccer stadium district, public art, West Louisville economic development and vacant and abandoned properties.
