Louisville Fire Sgt. Loses Battle with Cancer

It is with great sorrow that the Louisville Division of Fire mourns the loss of Sgt. Timothy J. Groft. He lost his battle with cancer today and was surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Sgt. Groft was a 15 year veteran of the Division and spent the majority of his career serving Louisville’s west end, his last assignment being at Engine 6 in the Portland Neighborhood.

The Division expresses our condolences to the Groft family and friends. He will be laid to rest with full Line of Duty Death honors. Details to follow.
