Louisville’s Unemployment Rate Lowest Since 2007
Louisville’s jobless rate in October is 5.2%, the lowest since November 2007 and evidence that the economy continues to improve. The October 2014 unemployment rate is down 2.5% from October 2013.
“The falling unemployment rate is a great indication that business has confidence in our economic development strategies,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. “We will continue to focus on getting more of our citizens back to work and on increasing wages, which is one of our top goals.”
Louisville’s October unemployment rate ranks 6th out of 15 peer cities.
