LMAS seeks the public's help on finding the person(s) responsible for shooting dogs in Louisville

January 07, 2016

Back in September and October of 2015, Louisville Metro Animal Services made an appeal to the public for any information regarding a series of dogs that had been shot in the 40210 zip code of Louisville, KY.  Up until now, the agency has received no tips.

Another dog has been found with similar wounds in the same area of town. On December 29, this black pit bull was picked up with a bullet in its leg. The animal is currently receiving treatment and could potentially lose the injured leg.

“We need the public’s help to identify the person or persons responsible for these acts.” Said Leslie Hawk, spokesperson for LMAS. “The animals are suffering serious injuries. We need to stop this from happening to any other animals.” If you have information, LMAS asks that you call 502-361-1318 immediately.
