Landbank Authority approves sales of ten vacant properties

Ten vacant properties were approved for sale by the Landbank Authority at its July meeting. The proposed sales will enhance the condition of properties and lots in neighborhoods across the city.                                      

  • Urban Acupuncture LLC was approved to purchase the 4,590 square foot vacant lot at 113 S 22nd Street for use as a rear yard. The property will be consolidated with their adjoining properties on West Main Street.
  • Bruce Cohen was approved to purchase the property at 3200 Rudd Avenue to renovate and to rent to qualified tenants. The property includes a 3,120 square foot home built in 1900.
  • Sherita Smith was approved to purchase the 4,387 square foot vacant lot at 2117 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. for use of a side yard.
  • New Directions Housing Corporation was approved to purchase the property at 2509 Grand Avenue to renovate and to sell to a qualified homebuyer. The property includes a 1,144 square foot home built in 1920.
  • Habitat for Humanity was approved to purchase the 3,375 square foot vacant lot at 1621 Bank Street to build a new single-family home for a qualified homebuyer.
  • Peter Griffin was approved to purchase the 1,910 square foot vacant lot at 312 N. 21st Street for use of a side yard.
  • Mirage Properties LLC was approved to purchase the properties at 411 S. 27th Street, 319 S. 43rd Street, 3923 Elliott Avenue, and 2900 Wyandotte Avenue to renovate and to rent to qualified tenants. The homes range from 750 to 1,099 square feet.
