Dixie Highway in the news: Bus improvements will make travel easier and safer

March 16, 2018

Dixie Highway will be the first area of Louisville to receive a “RAPID” bus line – a faster-than-express service. The work is part of the $35 million New Dixie Highway Project.

This week WDRB News reporter Kyle Mitchell talked with TARC riders, TARC leaders and Metro Councilman Rick Blackwell about how the bus line will make it easier and safer for Dixie residents to get to and from work, school, and health care facilities. Blackwell also spoke about how another part of the New Dixie Highway project, improvements to the Shively ramp, has improved safety significantly.
