Councilwoman Sexton Smith says everyone is welcome for “Beecher Terrace Days” at Baxter Square Park
Louisville – It’s a special homecoming weekend for one of Louisville Metro’s historic neighborhoods as “Beecher Terrace Days” gets underway this Saturday and Sunday in the Russell Neighborhood.
“The folks of Beecher Terrace have a very long history together and this weekend they are sending out the call for those who have lived here to come back home to see old friends and make new ones,” says Councilwoman Barbara Sexton Smith (D-4). “One of the most important connections we have as a city can be found in our neighborhoods and staying in touch with those we know while finding new friends to meet along the way.”
This is an annual community event held at Baxter Square Park, beginning on Saturday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day.
There will be food vendors, music and entertainment for everyone. Plenty to do for all the kids!
“Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. This is a great event for the family. I hope everyone will come out and join us this weekend,” says Sexton Smith.
Baxter Square Park is located at 301 S. 12th Street.
