Councilwoman Sexton Smith puts out the call for volunteers to help with a community cleanup on Saturday, August 24th
Louisville – Councilwoman Barbara Sexton Smith is putting out the call for anyone who has the time this coming Saturday morning to help with a community cleanup in District 4.
“Volunteers would be greatly appreciated as we focus attention on West Main Street and beyond,” says the Councilwoman.
The cleanup is set to get under way at 9:00am on Saturday, August 24th. Volunteers should gather at 1135 West Main Street - parking lot gate #18 of Mercer Transportation.
From there, volunteers will pick up trash and debris from 9th to 14th Streets and from Main to Muhammad Ali. Supplies will be provided. Bring your own gloves if you have them.
Mercer Transportation and the Healing Place are partnering with Councilwoman Sexton Smith to get the community cleanup organized.
“I invite folks to come and join us if they are interested in making our community a better place to live. Together, we will create a great connected community for all,” says Sexton Smith.
