Councilwoman Purvis opposes Family Dollar ABC applications
Louisville (August 30, 2023) – Councilwoman Donna Purvis (D-5) voiced her objections today to Family Dollar Stores’ application to sell beer and malt beverages.
Five years ago, Family Dollar’s application for beer and malt beverages sales was denied. They have now submitted a new application for an NQ Retail Malt Beverage Package License at thirteen locations. Three of those locations are in District 5 at 3901 W. Market Street, 3022 Portland Avenue, and 1419 W. Jefferson Street.
Councilwoman Purvis urges residents to express their concerns and objections by sending an email to her at [email protected] no later than Friday, September 1 at Noon. You may also submit written letters to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, 500 Mero Street 2NE33, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. Ensure letters are postmarked no later than Friday, September 1.
