Councilwoman Purvis kicks off the new year by announcing more COVID-19 drive thru testing sites in West Louisville
Louisville–Councilwoman Donna Purvis (D-5) brings in the new year by announcing two drive thru COVID-19 testing sites will be in operation this week to help keep the public safe in West Louisville.
“I can think of no better way to start this year off right by getting tested. We have seen a great response to the drive thru sites we have hosted before,” says Purvis. “As many people wait for the vaccine, this is a prevention opportunity to keep you and your family safe and healthy going into 2021. I’ve said it many times before and I will keep on saying it, get tested!
The two drive thru locations are: ·
- Friday, January 8th at Lannan Park, 27th Street and Northwestern Parkway from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, January 9th at Bather Park at Market and Southwestern Parkway from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please bring your ID and a health insurance card. If you do not have health insurance, you will still be tested. Children are welcome, so load up the car and bring the entire family. You will not need to leave your car for the testing. This is not the nasal swab test, but the saliva test instead. Once testing is completed, test results will be received within 48 hours.
“So grab your family, a friend or a neighbor and bring them along because testing is important. Remember; wear a face mask, socially distance and follow other recommended guidelines to stay safe,” says the Councilwoman.
