Councilwoman McCraney invites District 7 residents to join her for the next virtual “Muffins with McCraney”

August 26, 2020

Louisville—Councilwoman Paula McCraney invites District 7 residents to join her for the next virtual “Muffins with McCraney” this Saturday, August 29th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. It is the community’s chance to get caught up on    what’s going on at Metro Council and share any comments and concerns with her.

“Until we can feel safe about meeting in person, we will continue to meet virtually from the comfort of our homes or offices.  Despite COVID-19, it is my intent to keep constituents of District 7 informed, and myself accessible and available to listen to concerns,” says the Councilwoman.

A portion of the agenda will include comments from the Councilwoman about current civil unrest, the resolution calling for the mayor’s resignation, proposed developments in District 7, and the work she’s doing as co-chair of the Civilian Review Board Workgroup.

“I will answer any question that is on the hearts and minds of my constituents. I believe all elected officials should be transparent, and I look forward to hearing from my neighbors and friends of District 7.  We will engage in open and honest dialogue,” says McCraney. “Get ready to brew a cup of coffee, have a muffin or two handy, and from the comfort of your own home, let’s talk.”

With the help of Webex Meetings, the virtual “Muffins with McCraney” will allow for interactive participation. Those who would like to join this event will find the invitation and sign on information in the August 21st and August 28th District 7 e-newsletters.

The event will also be broadcast on Facebook Live! on the Democratic Caucus Facebook page.
