Councilwoman Hawkins encourages community to attend Parkland Day

Louisville (September 20, 2023) – Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins (D-1) invites the community to attend Parkland Day’s 3rd Annual Celebration in District 1 this weekend. The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. It’s taking place on 28th Street, between Dumesnil Street and Virginia Avenue.

Please plan to arrive at 2:00 p.m. for the celebration’s kickoff featuring welcoming remarks from Councilwoman Hawkins and Governor Andy Beshear.

This year’s celebration is being presented by University of Louisville Health and organized by the Parkland Business & Development Association.

“I hope you’ll join me at this annual community event, which celebrates the Parkland neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to meet new neighbors, have some family fun, and learn about important programs available to residents,” said Councilwoman Hawkins.

Parkland Day is a family-friendly celebration that brings the community together and will feature live entertainment, kids’ zone, giveaways, contests, community resources, vendors, food and more.
