Councilwoman Hamilton asks for volunteers to help Brightside plant new trees near Chickasaw Park
Louisville – Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton is looking for volunteers in District 5 who would like to help enhance the beauty in the Chickasaw Neighborhood surrounding Chickasaw Park by taking part in tree planting on Saturday, November 8th.
“Brightside is coordinating a community-wide planting day and in this area they are looking to plant trees in the residential neighborhood around Chickasaw Park,” says Hamilton.
This event is the first of its kind for Brightside which is well known for its community wide cleanup efforts in the Spring and Fall every year. The event will be planting trees that area native to Kentucky.
The event will be held from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
