Councilwoman Flood announces next South Central Regional Forum will feature LMPD’s new 7th Division Major on February 19th
Louisville – Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D-24) announces a new year of South Central Regional Forums will start on Wednesday, February 19th focusing on public safety with Louisville Metro Police and the Okolona and Highview Fire Services.
“It is important that everyone come out and meet the people who are protecting us in our neighborhoods,” says Flood. “I have invited LMPD’s new 7th Division Commander to come and meet the people in the community and Okolona and Highview Fire will talk about their new ambulance services.”
The forum is set for the South Central Regional Library at 7400 Jefferson Boulevard from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Major Emily McKinley is leading the LMPD 7th Division and will be on hand to talk about the division and its programs along with introducing herself to participants. Representatives of Okolona Fire Protections Service and the Highview Fire Service will answer questions about the new ambulance services and other safety programs offered.
“This forum is a chance to come out and get to know what’s going on in the community. I encourage everyone to come out and join us,” says Flood.
The South Central Regional Forums are sponsored by Councilwoman Flood and Council Members James Peden (R-23), Mark Fox (D-13) and Barbara Shanklin (D-2).
As usual, Code Enforcement Officers will also be on hand to answer any questions.
