Councilwoman Dorsey invites community to attend dedication in honor of Mary C. Woolridge
Louisville- Councilwoman Keisha Dorsey (D-3) is inviting the community to attend the dedication of Wingfield Lane and the intersecting corners of Beech Street, South 23rd Street and Dixie Highway as “Mary C. Woolridge Lane” in honor of former Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge.
The dedication and unveiling of an honorary street sign is set for Tuesday, November 29, at the corner of Wingfield Lane and Beech Street at 11 AM. Please join Councilwoman Dorsey, along with the family and friends of Mary C. Woolridge, as they recognize her accomplishments.
Woolridge started her career in public service in 1999, serving as a Legislative Aide for the old Board of Alderman. She was elected to represent District 3 after merger in 2003 and served her community until 2018.
“Please join me on November 29 to honor my predecessor and friend, Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge,” says Dorsey. “She worked tirelessly for residents of District 3, and I’m honored to continue her legacy.”
