Councilwoman Butler to join Lt. Governor Luellen for Grand Opening of the Kidz Club on Wednesday, February 25th
Louisville – Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15) will join Kentucky Lt. Governor Crit Luellen for a very special grand opening on Wednesday, February 25th of the Kidz Club to help families with children who have special medical needs when it comes to day care.
“This Kidz Club is the fourth of its kind in Kentucky,” said Butler. “Facilities like this allow parents of children with special medical needs a peace of mind while they are at work.”
Since 1999, the Kidz Club has been helping medically fragile children and their families as the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) program. PPEC is a day treatment program that provides quality skilled nursing care, education, and custodial needs for children 6 weeks to 20 years of age.
The Kidz Club Dixie will join three other facilities in providing specialized medical care. The Kidz Club has one location at Neighborhood House on 25th Street in Louisville. Two other locations are in Lexington and Erlanger.
Councilwoman Butler and Lt. Governor Luellen will be on hand for the grand opening at the facility located at 1517 Gagel Avenue beginning at 4:00pm.
