Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin announces 3rd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt
Louisville – Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin (D-2) invites the children of the District 2 to come out for the 3rd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt set for Saturday, April 4th at 2:00pm.
It will take place in Norfolk Park.
“This is a great event for the community and it is special when you consider how this park has changed,” says Shanklin. “It was just a few years ago Norfolk Park was a trouble spot until the community decided enough is enough and decided it was time for a change.”
The Councilwoman said residents in the area decided to work with Louisville Metro Police and other organizations to rid Norfolk Park of crime and other problems so families and residents could use it for the purpose it was designed for: a place for children to play and adults to enjoy.
There will be prizes, entertainment and refreshments for all who come out for the Easter Egg Hunt.
“I hope everyone will come out and join us. It is a great way to welcome spring,” says Shanklin.
Norfolk Park is located at 4300 Coram Way.
