Councilman Robin Engel to Attend Groundbreaking for Morning Point Senior Living Campus

Louisville, KY – Metro Councilman Robin Engel (District 22) will attend a groundbreaking ceremony for Morning Point Senior living and Alzheimer’s Living Care (4711 South Hurstbourne Parkway) on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Independent Healthcare Properties (IHP) and Morning Pointe Senior Living are breaking ground on the development of a new $25 million senior campus, creating over 200 construction jobs and 125 permanent healthcare positions. This two phase development project will feature 53 senior living/personal care apartments and an additional 20 apartments will be in The Lantern, a secure dedicated wing specially designed for residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss.
The new senior campus will also provide 44 apartments in a freestanding Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence. Situated on nine acres, the new senior living and Alzheimer’s memory care community will feature two craftsman style buildings with 120 spacious apartments. The landscaped campus will offer high quality amenities including fine dining areas, life enrichment programs and professional health and wellness services.
